Colt stares at me for a moment, “You’re ready to let him die?”

I nod my head, pushing myself into a seated position and rubbing my belly before standing. “I’m fed up. He never gives me clear answers. I would rather not know than let him carry on spilling snippets of information over the rest of my life. I don’t want him to live. I don’t want him anywhere near my pup. If someone is feeding him information….” I shake my head as I trail off, looking out the window.

“What is it?” Colt asks,

“You said no one is allowed to see Snare.”

“They’re not.”

Moving myself closer to the window, I frown. “Then tell me why Callie is heading towards the dungeons?”

“Callie?” He moves next to me and I see how the surprise turns to anger. He pushes open the window. “CALLIE!” He bellows across the grounds.

Callie freezes. In fact everyone does. No one moves at the sound of Colt's voice, because he sounded absolutely furious.

She slowly turns her head in our direction. From here I could see how scared
