“I am so sorry, marmee.” She has been crying endlessly since she told her grandmother as to what happened between her and Devlin. She told her everything except that night when Devlin mentioned someone else's name during their last fiery moment. It is something that she does not have the courage to tell her grandmother. She would definitely break down in front of her.

“I am sorry, my child. I hope you told me everything sooner so you could spare yourself from the heartaches. I know that you love him so much.” She paused, pain and disappointment could be seen on her marmee’s face before she took a deep breath.

“I wish it could have happened in a different way. I met Devlin and he seemed to be a nice, young man. I think I was wrong about him then. I saw him as a genuinely caring grandson to his grandmother. He was also nice to everyone here including the workers. And when you told everything that happened, I could not help but regret that I entrusted you to him.” Amber cried harder.
