With his shirt around my chest, I follow him into the living room, confusion swirling around my insides.

“Aryan wait, you can’t just walk out like that, we were still talking.”

“You were talking, I was done.”

Fuck, this can’t be happening, he was not even looking at me, his tone had gone icy, what the fuck did that even mean?

“Was confessing my feelings that terrible? You would not even look at me.”

He said Melanie, not Mel, fuck, what is this? Panic swished inside of my body, I almost choke on it, it tasted vile and awful. I couldn't breathe, the ground moved under my feet.

“Well, I could not stop them. They grew on their own. What was I suppose to do?”
