Chapter One

"Jude please you really can't do this to me. Especially not now that I need you the most. I know I've not been that perfect girlfriend but I'll try. I'll try Jude. Please".

Brianna could feel the tears running down her cheeks. She felt so broken because she had just lost her mum to ovarian cancer and that has left her with a pile of debt. To add to her wound she just caught her boyfriend of three years in bed with her supposed best friend but she couldn't care less. All she needed was her boyfriend in her life. She saw Jude has an emotional support and she needed him in her life.

She had three siblings to take care of and she wasn't confident that she could take care of them without her friend or boyfriend. She didn't even care if they've been sleeping together. She just needed them at this point in time.

"Jude please you can't break up with me. You know how much I need you right now." Brianna said with hot tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Kelly but I no longer love you. I love Cynthia so very much and to tell you the truth, I never loved you. I only dated you out of pity. You were always ranting about how your mum was heal and all of that. I've always had my eyes on Cynthia and I only became friends with you just to get her which I did. Jude said giving Cynthia a kiss on her cheek.

" I really can't believe you were so dumb to believe I ever loved you." Jude said rolling his eyes with a scoff.

"But you told me you loved me Jude." I know you did ." Brianna said crying

" I never loved you Brianna Kelly. Get that into your thick skull loser. I've always loved Cynthia and that's it." Jude said glaring at Brianna.

"You heard him Kelly. He never loved you. He only dated you out of pity. He has always loved me and I love him too so leave us the hell alone . " Cynthia said.

" Cynthia please you guys can't just leave." Brianna said holding Cynthia's hand with pleading eyes.

"Let go Kelly." Cynthia said in a very harsh tune.

"You heard her Brianna, leave her the fuck alone." Jude said raising his voice at Brianna.

Brianna was really shocked with how they both reacted. Jude had never raised his voice at her in their three years of dating. He had always looked at her with so much love and adoration. Cynthia on the other hand was a perfect best friend anyone could wish for. She was always considerate and would always treat Brianna with respect.

Brianna knew what Jude and Cynthia had must have been going on for a while so was curious she wanted to since when they decided to ditch her and be together.

"How long as this been going on for?" Brianna asked out of curiosity.

"Well as long as we can remember and just so you know we are expecting our first child together." Cythia said rubbing her lower abdomen.

Brianna was so shocked by the revelation and launched for her best friend with full force but Jude caught her before she could get to Cynthia.

"You've got to be kidding me. How could you do this to me. You were supposed to be my best friend" Brianna said in tears as she tried to catch Cynthia but Jude's hold around her was so strong that she couldn't get to Cynthia.

"Leave now or I'll have the guards throw you out." Jude said with venom in his voice.

Brianna could no longer bear it so she picked up her bag as soon as her legs touched the ground and launched for Cynthia again with full force but Jude caught her again. He carried her with her bag and threw her out of his house causing Brianna to fall and everything in her bag spilled on the floor.

Brianna sat on the same spot for a few minutes crying her eyes out before she decided to pick up her stuff and left the house without a second thought.

Brianna suddenly felt the urge to drink so started her search for a bar.

Her heart felt so heavy. She was shattered beyond imagination. She felt like there was a knot in her chest because the hurt she feel was just too much. She tried so hard to hold the tears but she couldn't help it. She suddenly stopped abruptly in the middle of the street and wailed loudly that everyone couldn't help but stare. She bent down after a while because her legs felt so weak and buried her head in her hands. She cried so much till she was tired of crying before she continued her bar haunting.

Brianna looked like a walking dead by the time she found a bar. The bar was packed with people and it looked like a VIP bar but she entered anyways. All she could see were the blazing ray of light and the only sound she could hear was the sound of her own hicup. She had shed too much tears in the last four hours. With her mum's sudden pass and her encounter with her boyfriend and best friend, it was just too much for her to bare and she couldn't hold back the tears.

Brianna knew she couldn't go home yet. She didn't want her siblings to see her that broken. They had absolutely no idea that their mum was no more and she had absolutely no idea on how to break the news to them because they were all were expecting their mum to come back home to them. The doctor had assured them that her surgery would go well since her cancer was still stage three.

Brianna's mum found out she had cancer ten years ago but she didn't tell her kids about it because she didn't want them to worry or suffer because of her.

The doctor informed Brianna about her mum's case one week ago and now she was no more. Brianna's mum used to complain of stomach pain but she made her kids believe that it was her ulcer acting up for years until they found out that it was cancer about a week ago.

They had to take out a loan in other to pay for her surgery hoping they could save her life.

Brianna was the only person her siblings have left  and she could not let them see her in the state she was and she had to stay strong for them.

One of her sibling just got into college , she had one preparing for college and the last one just entered high school. She knew she had lots of work to do. She needed to earn money if she wanted her siblings to go to Uni. She believed her siblings deserved that much and she knew her parents would want the same.

Brianna graduated with a first class honours in Business and Human Resource Management but she hasn't really had the chance to search for job because of her mum. She had been working part time in other to take care of her mum and her siblings but she knew she needed a proper job especially if she wanted her siblings to finish school.

Before Brianna knew what she was doing, she had already finished five cups of alcohol and it was starting to get into her system and it made her feel lighter than she was before entering the bar.

Loud music started playing and she was up on her feet before she knew what she was doing. She saw a face mask on the bar sit, wore it and got to dancing. Dance had always been everything to Brianna because she dances at the slightest chance she gets. Whether she's happy or sad , dance was always her go to routine.

She started swaying her hips and buried herself in the dance. She saw a pole in front of the bar and started swaying and dancing with the pole. Dancing there felt so good and she felt so happy even if it was for a moment.

She didn't notice that a lot of people had donated money in a bowl in front of her till the music stopped.

"But I didn't dance because of money. I did it because I wanted to." She muttered counting the money and it was about five thousand dollars. She was so shocked because she couldn't have imagined that she could made that much in one night. She counted one thousand dollars and gave it to the bar tender before walking out of the bar.
