She woke to the sound of two yipping foxes and a man laughing. As she blinked her eyes open, she was surprised when one of the pups somehow flew on the bed and was dancing on her side. “Get her.” He heard and she saw that Tengu was jumping on her.
“Did you teach him that?” she asked in her haze still half asleep.
“I didn’t have too. He wanted you since I brought them down.” Matthew’s deep voice said as he walked in the room after the small fox. He bent down, and Kappa also joined her on the bed. He was slightly more subtle with his affections. He licked her face as she lifted the covers and he crawled into the snuggling up against her. “I did buy my replacement.”
“I think you did. He doesn’t allow monster to attack me.” She said. As Tengu was trying to bite her foot through the blankets.
“But sweetheart Tengu was begging to come
Five hours later, the entire yard was buzzing with activity. She found out he never did anything half measure. There were four trucks packed on the street as he was trying to direct everyone in a way that would lead to success and things being easier for the two people. She had brought the pups upstairs so they would not be underfoot while so many people were there. She saw the planters that had arrived an hour earlier that she had already began working on. Matthew had orders paving stones and white crushed gravel for the rest of the yard as well as another grey gravel for the concrete. They now sat in piles at the end of the yard. His hole was complete, and they could begin as soon as things quieted down as the delivery people left.He was supervising the fence and sod being unloaded and placed on the side of the house. Her plant soil had arrived first, and she had already taken charge of that. She had placed the planters w
Three months later….The garden was in full bloom. From the flowers, she had planted to the vegetables producing things. She was in the back, harvesting what she could for the day. She was smiling when he came out into the back and was placing things in her basket. “Sweetheart everything okay back here?” he asked as he moved in back of her and he wrapped his arms around her.“Glad to see you home at a decent hour.” She said as she turned around.“Well, you see this new position required me to be there to plan ops versus going on them.” He said with a grin.“You like your new job?” she asked.“I do.” He said as he placed his forehead on hers, “You see, there is this little female who became everything important in the world to me a few months ago.”“Well, then she is one lucky woman.” She sai
"Princess, you need to get out some more. Come on out with us on Friday?” Marco said."Nah, the whole club scene isn't my thing.” She replied without looking up from the report she was looking over."Well, you need to go out. Seriously kid, you are wasting away in here and look at you are beautiful; it's wasted on us in here. Go find a man to shine with him.” Marco continued."And how exactly am I supposed to do that? I work eighteen hours a day, six days a week. Where is this mystery man I keep hearing about that will accept that?” She said, looking up and over her glasses."I don't know. I am normal; I go out.” He replied as she rolled her eyes at him."What are we talking about?” Aaron asked as he rounded the corner to her office."Trying to get princess to go out, or find a date,” Marco replied over his shoulder
Everything started out well like a totally normal Wednesday though she felt energized in a way she hadn’t in a long time. Her commute was smooth and slow, but she had a mind for nothing but figuring out who exactly M.A. was. The message she had woke up to put a smile on her face even if she really didn't want it too. Something about it was interesting to her though it was nothing more than a follow up to her response. She was enjoying the newness of everything. Sarah had never thought about what kind of relationship she was really looking for until she had to ponder what and who he really was. The lack of a picture didn’t bother her because she felt it was a good way not to dismiss him on appearance alone. He seemed interested in her as well because the picture though it was good, was blurry because it was taken at a distance with a phone’s camera. That didn’t seem to matter to him.Princess,Y
When she arrived home, she began thinking of this mystery man, M.A. that had contacted her. Though the game they played was friendly at the moment, she had to wonder if he was indeed safe. He seemed to know where she was as she was there. She knew tO’Brieny was grocery day, so she took stock of what she had and made a quick list. She was going to run to the store as she remembered her clothes. So she dumped them in her soaking bucket and looked around for a bit in her laundry room.As she was on her way out, she saw the blinking light on her phone. What now? She thought to herself. You have been quiet. Did I scare you with dinner? She looked at the note and thought to put it off until she was done with her errands. That took about an hour as a trip to the store never went easy or quick. She chose Wednesday to go because after going on every other day, she saw that it was less time on days like tO’
Her usual routine tossing and turning didn't happen as she dozed off somewhat comfortable and woke up late. She thought about going into work and knew that she wasn’t all there today. Taking one of her nine thousand days off that she had built up seemed to be the best idea she could come up with. She sent her boss a text,Taking a personal day.Have to do with your new friend? Was his response, which brought a laugh out of her. Of course,, he would want to dig into her life to find out the reason she wanted to take a day off when she was known not to ever take one unless she was very sick or in the hospital for something.No. She replied and turned off the sound to the phone. For her, it was that simple, but she needed extra rest. That wasn't like her. Things didn’t bother her like this. She had to assume it was something from whatever had happened the n
She went back to the hotel and decided to change into a summer dress, it was warm enough outside, and she was thinking of the later that was to come. She had spotted him looking at her before but not with the same grin he had when she had realized it was him. She was thinking back of all she could remember of him from when he was in her class. Polite, somewhat sarcastic but never with her, didn't like talking in class or during lessons, very professional, and she never got the vibe he liked her though. She wondered how bad she was at this whole picking up on things like men giving her signs that they were interested in her. She again cleared out all the other messages from the site as she really didn't care that much about the other men at the moment though she didn’t erase them. She didn’t want the distraction of any other, so she left them on read. She was intrigued by only him and his yellow eyes. She had never seen eyes like his before. An
Sarah kissed him, and that changed everything for her in her mind. She had never taken control like that before, and for some reason, she was completely comfortable with this man she had known as a student and then was reintroduced when he was nameless and faceless. Lying in bed with this man next to her as they explored each other slightly was something she hadn’t realized she needed. He propped himself up on his arm and just looked down at her as he smiled slightly. His hand cupping her face gently as his thumb ran over her cheek. “This right here is worth the wait.” He said softly. “Though I want to do more than just this, we should wait a bit.”She looked up to him and got lost in those magical golden eyes that he had. She nodded slightly, and for the first time in her life, she knew that she wasn’t in charge of everything around her. She also wanted to see where this could go with him, and the fact he didn’t
