25: Stay With Me!

One hour later, Sherry's eyelashes fluttered. She opened her eyes wide and came face-to-face with Russell. He was looking at her intensely.

"Awake now, sweetie?" he asked, looking at her sleeping form like a precious baby.

She smiled. "Yeah. Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked, amused.

He caressed her cheeks. "I think I'm falling hard for you. Can you feel it too?"

She giggled. "OMG! Why are you so damn serious?"

"Because I am. I really do. I want to take our relationship to the next level," he said in a serious tone.

Her eyes widened in shock. "Whaaat?"

"Let's live under one roof like husband and wife and see if we are comfortable with each other. It's like trial and error. A living arrangement, a prelude before we get married. We can get married if you can tolerate my attitude and quirks, and I am certain I can endure anything you throw at me. I will provide everything you need during the three months that we're living together," Russell said in an animated tone.
