Chapter 4

I'm in charge of my own destiny, the one thing my paternal grandparents  told me that I took to heart. I make my own path in life and  get to  choose who is beside me as I journey down that path  or I can go it alone.

I'm happy for my little sister, falling in love and having him turn out to be her mate is great for them. I just don't see that kind of thing happening to me like that, it was the situation at the moment that made their paths cross.  So I don't think that counts as much towards the whole fated thing, it was just an accident of life. 

That is not me.

 The driver swerves around a few more times and I hold on to his arm now to stay seated in the cart. Damn he smells good too, what do these  male wolves bathe in cause they smell yummy to me. Even with my plugged up head I can smell his scent due to our closeness. There were a few males back in that Montana pack that made me look twice , but I didn't have extra time there to really get to know any.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not some easy slut  but I do enjoy  attention  of men. The sly smiles, opening of doors, flowers,  pleasant conversation  and just the full on attention any woman would love.  It makes me glow inside with appreciation.

I'm no virgin prude either that's for sure, losing that V card my first year in college. It was  my first semi serious relationship  , we both knew it wasn't going to be forever but  that was ok. We parted on good terms after dating on and off  for a couple of years, still friends but not close ones. My parents never knew about him or anyone I dated there.  

Yet ever since I found out about having a wolf and there being other wolves like me out there. I wonder what sex with another wolf would be like, is it just like with a human or more intense? I know I'm going to  find out someday and maybe this piece of hotness could be the one to show me. You never know. 

The ride is over too quickly as the cart comes to a sudden stop at the front of the house. Following behind  him closely we head inside and move silently through the hallways. Our  destination was  the Alpha's office and as we move my eyes are glued to the backside of this man in front of me I could bounce coins off of that ass it's so tight.  He sways his hips a little more now, he knows I'm creeping on him. 

I like a man with confidence. From now on he will be referred to as "Hotness" because the name so fits him.

   

His hotness knocks on the door and I hear "Entrar" coming from behind the heavy door.  Opening the door for me  and setting down my suitcase just inside the room before leaving and closing the door behind him. I miss him already. 

There is an  older gentleman in the room and he had gotten  up from his seat when I entered the room. Moving with a fluid ease he came around the desk to greet me.

" Alisha, I've heard so many good things about you. " He grasped my hand in his, bringing it up to his mouth before kissing it. "I'm Alpha Santino Perez, welcome to my home" . Not only did his actions make my heart beat a  little quicker, but again with that sexy accent. He was out of my age range for sure but that didn't keep him from being a little flirty.

"I'm pleased to met you sir"  He reminds me of that man they used in those beer commercials. Older man, about my dad's age but still good looking.

      

"Please have a seat " I move to sit in a chair placed in front of his desk as he returned to his seat behind it. 

" I just want to thank you for taking the time to meet with me. My parents told me that you had been aware since I first arrived here of my situation. " I still hate the way everyone went behind my back and set up everything. But I know it wasn't his decision but my parents to keep me in the dark.  "Now that I am aware of everything, I don't want to be kept out of the loop anymore."

"Please understand that  I was only following your parents wishes and thought only of your safety" He sits back in his chair as he speaks . I nod my head in understanding. "there still is the issue of your grandparents to deal with. I'm sure by now they are aware of the events that took place and are in hiding. But that doesn't mean that they will stay away, I believe they will continue to work their way into your life."

"They did lie to me about a lot of things but did help me deal with who I really am.  Personally they didn't harm me in any way, in fact they were there for my first shift and helped me get in touch with my wolf. I owe them thanks for that. " It was true, maybe they told me stories that benefited their son, my biological father , but some things were true. I don't hate them , but trust is another thing.    

"If they contact you , I need to know immediately. There are serious charges pending against them in the States ." His tone changed , he was making sure I knew he meant business when it came to that.

" I will notify you if they contact me. " I just hope they leave me alone,a large part of me doesn't want to deal with any of that bullshit situation anymore. I hate drama and refuse to be part of any if I can help it.

"Now let us discuss your stay here , how much longer will you be here in Barcelona?" He gets right down to business. His tone now more business and less flirtly.

"Just a few more weeks than I'm interning in Calella for the remainder of my education." I can't wait to start either, the beach there is supposed to be really special.  "The Alpha there has been made aware of my situation, in fact I'll be interning at one of the packs hotels there."

"Great, I'm glad that is settled . But until you leave here I'm going to continue to have a protector assigned to you. Do not leave the city without informing them" He's talking about Paola, my best friend since I got here. We still need to talk about this situation and my feelings are still hurt about her part in this.

"I understand, thanks again for all your help" I get up to leave , he stands up when I do and walks me to the door. When he opens it, I see that Hotness is waiting for me just outside the door. 

"Take care of yourself, call me if you need anything. "  Hotness take my suitcase from me and we head out side.  The energy from the  power nap has worn off and  weariness is settling into my body again.  

"There is a car waiting to take you home. " He's smiling at me, I don't think I've ever seen whiter teeth.  That's a perk for sure it would take some time for another taxi to get here and I'm really low on euros. 

"Nice, thanks for hooking me up with that" I try to sound flirty but as tired as I am right now, it just comes out weird to my ears. I never got that coffee and I wish I had asked for it.

He opens the truck and put my case in it, before  getting me settled inside the back seat of the car.  The driver is an older man and he keeps his eyes forward the entire time, not even sparing a glance in the rear view mirror.

"Adios chica"  as he blows me a kiss before closing the door. Damn, I forgot to ask him his name. The driver heads slowly down the driveway and out the gate. 

I relax against the soft leather seat and watch the world go by my window.

It's good to be back.
