12-Separation anxiety

Letitia's thick clothes were stripped down to a thin nightgown by Samuel.

Samuel wrapped her in two more thick quilts so that she could be wiped down at any time.

She didn't sleep too well, occasionally waking up as Samuel tossed her around, looking bewildered as a young child, lifting her arms and legs as he instructed, much like a good baby.

"Good Letitia, lift your arm." Samuel obviously liked the way she was behaving.

Letitia lifted her arm obediently, her dark eyes moistened by her illness.

Her skin was fair and delicate, slightly flushed from the warm towel, like an unripe peach, and Samuel couldn't resist taking her arm and kissing it.

As if he had been ordered by his master not to eat until she gave permission, Samuel restrained himself just brushing his lips against her skin.

Samuel couldn't help but look up at Letitia's voice who let out a soft gasp. It was too much for her to bear the pain of her illness.

Her arms were losing all strength from the pain of the fever.
