He touched his neck to feel the witch’s ladder. He was relieved when he realizes it was gone. A shadow hovered over him from the corner followed by a soothing voice. “Only a powerful witch like Kora can break the witch’s ladder she didn’t place on a victim.” Lucas turned following the sound of the voice he just heard. He recognized the voice but needed to be sure it was really the person he thought it would be. On seeing his mother standing beside the bed, he quickly rose to his feet in his defense. He gnawed as his eyes glowed blue. “Who are you?” he asked. Susan smirked to herself. She has been overprotective since the birth of Lucas. “I know you have a lot of questions and so do your father but I don’t have much time. I’m happy to see you’re okay.”
