Lucas is disoriented that he doesn’t know what to do. His chances of getting the mystical brimstone have been ruined by Ozenzo. His invasion of the ancestors’ world will cost the lives of Jane and Alicia just as it cost the life of Bonnie. His mind raced with a series of thoughts. A possible solution would be what he’s needed for his next action. “Son, what are you doing out here?” his father’s words pierced his ears sharply. He flicked around emitting a sigh of relief. “Dad,” he called out. He threw his arms across his father’s shoulder and squeezes him tightly in his arms. “I thought I will never see you again.” A sob escaped his lips. “Everything will be alright,” Captain White slowly pats his shoulder. He received a call from her wife to rush home. ‘Our son is home, I need you to rush home and keep your eyes on him,’ Susan said over the phone. “We should be inside,” Captain White said as he gently breaks the hug. “It’s not sa
RAILWAY FACILITY UP-TOWN It used to be a station where trains stop for the passengers to get into and get off the train. It’s no longer what it was before. Dumps are littered everywhere with gentle breeze tossing the littered papers away. It was once a busy place. But now lonely as a graveyard. The passengers would stand in a queue to collect their tickets in front of the ticket counter. It’s now a dead end. Before the election of Congressman Styles into congress, this train station used to work perfectly. People were looking for their trains and running toward their racks, and some were roaming here and there waiting for their trains, and a lot of people were there in the waiting hall waiting for the boarding announcement. There used to be lots of shops for tea and snacks, bookshops, and fruit shots but all of them have been forced out of business because the railway station building has fallen into disuse. This is where Nick pointed at the map. Where
“You didn’t tell me she was a Banshee!” Alpha Jones cast a stone face gaze at Zuka. “Not my fault you acted hastily,” Zuka sprang back to his feet. He stretched his hand to help alpha Jones up. Alpha Jones hissed and shoved his hand. He mumbled and sprang up to his feet. As he was about to say, “Fix this mess…” Jane flew at a speed of sound and stood behind them blasting them through the rocks with another powerful sonic scream. Zuka is the one behind all that has happened to her. He can’t hide under his thick dark hooded cloak under the sun forever. She was aiming to rip that cloak off him when a Beta pouched on her from behind. The Beta pinned her to the ground gnawing at the bottom of his lips. Too bad he didn’t get the memo: ‘Don’t attack a Banshee if you can’t silence her.’ Jane smirked to herself. “Amateur,” she said. She opened her mouth wide and emits a sonic scream throwing the Beta off her body.
Maureen breaks out into a peal of loud laughter in a silly way. She laughed repeatedly. “You can’t erase my memories because I’m always on spirits herb, vervain, and wolfbane.” His words shocked Lucas. He glanced at Ann with disbelief in his eyes. He moved closer to Maureen and asked without hesitation in his voice. “Why do you take all that.” This explains why he wasn’t able to catch up Maureen’s scent when she walked into the train station. On getting closer, he was able to hear her heartbeat. With spirit’s herb in her system, no witch can erase her memories unless she’s drained dry. The wolfbane she has taken will make it impossible for any werewolf to catch up with her scent. For the vervain, no vampire would force her to go against her will with mind compulsion and neither will any vampire attempt to taste her blood. These three herbs in her system are powerful substances to keep the witches, werewolves, and vampires away f
“I won’t let them leave,” Ann argued. They’re just plotting to kill Lucas. Allowing them to leave isn’t healthy for Lucas. He didn’t choose who he is. “What do you propose?” Lucas glanced at Ann with curiosity. “Watch and learn,” Ann said. She disappeared in a flash of light and appeared behind Maureen and Pablo. They were already making their way out to call for backup. “Leaving so soon?” Maureen flicked around firing a shot. Ann disappeared into thin air. “Show yourself witch!” she yelled. She was supporting Pablo. When he was blasted, he made a rough landing on the ticket counter hurting himself badly. It’s difficult for him to move without Maureen lending her shoulder. “Let’s leave… come on, come on!” he cried out. “Not so fast,” Ann reappeared and stood before them. She narrowed her gaze at them. She drove her staff upwards with one powerful thrust, blasting them into a blue portal. She glance
Luck didn’t run out on Jane and Alicia this time. The wolfbane in their system has worn out which gave room for Lucas to catch up with their scent. Bad news for alpha Jones, this isn’t a full moon. An added advantage for Lucas is to use his wizardry power against him. Jones was still in the air when Lucas blasted him through his pack with a wind blast. Lucas launched himself into the air and fired another wind blast. The blast came with a wind wave knocking down trees. “Stay behind me,” Jane whispered to Alicia. “And cover your ears.” She stretched her hand forward and started squeezing her fingers slowly into a fist. She manipulated the same Beta to float in the air. Ash, squeezes her fingers, and the Beta was drawn toward her. “You wanna see something new?” she whispered. Jane whispered into the ear of the Beta and released him to slump to the ground. The Beta yelled out like one in deep torment. He rolled over the gr
Lucas approaches. The fallen tree branches creaked under his feet. The creak broke the silence as alpha Jones’ pack switched their attention to him.He lifted his hand and displayed the head of alpha Jones. “I’m your alpha now!” he roared in a mighty voice. He tossed alpha Jones's head to the number one Beta. “Anyone who disputes my alphaship should challenge me for a square.” He snarled flashing his newly acquired glowing red eyes. The reign of alpha Jones as the alpha of New Orleans werewolves has finally come to an end in the hands of a hybrid: half wizard, half werewolf. Lucas showed him no mercy. When he flew at his wolf rage, he engaged in his wizardry power to extinguish alpha Jones for good. This wasn’t the plan of the witches. They wanted to take away their wolf nature with the mystic orb. At least they won’t be looking over their shoulders trying to get away from the werewolves, especially on the full moon. Lucas has changed that. He’s one of them after all. Since he got to
Lucas dismisses the pack. The first Beta stayed back without leaving with the rest. His name is Pete. A young man in his early thirties. He has often opposed Jones's act of rule in his heart but he doesn’t have the balls to challenge him for a square or his position. Lucas was talking with Alicia and Jane when he walked up to him. He sought to speak with him. “Excuse me, ladies,” Lucas said. He excused himself and moved to a corner with Pete. “Permit me to speak freely, my alpha,” he said lowering his head slightly. “Of course,” Lucas replied. “Do you think we can win the vampires over in terms of keeping the peace?” There was concern in his voice. The only thing that led Zuka to Jones was he needed his muscle and that of his pack to get to the witches. Lucas emits a soft sigh. “I will offer them a deal,” Lucas said. “Alright, one more thing,” Pete raised his head and continued. “I have heard of these hunters
