Chapter 46: A Trade

"I still can't believe it," Andrew sighed, turning to the stage, in preparation for the auction. The couple was back at their table, trying to tone their voices as they chatted about Ambrose. "He had many years to take his chance, but he did not."

Earlier, Ambrose admitted he had feelings for Melissa, surprising Andrew completely. 

"I'm surprised you never saw it," Kenzie faintly answered, making sure Melissa did not hear their conversation. 

"He is a serial dater, Kenzie. He had not once settled with one woman for over a month," Andrew revealed. 

"But have you seen them together? It's like when they are alone sparks fly," Kenzie explained. 

Andrew glanced at Melissa from the corner of his eye and thought for a second. He asserted, "It's just that Mel, she  - she always told Ambrose that he was the best brother she could ever wish for. Honestly, I did not see it."
