Teya’s eyes were puffy and swollen and she knew without looking into the mirror she looked horrible. She felt horrible. Her stomach hurt, but she showered and watched her hair like a champ no matter if her legs felt like giving way. It was apparent she was weak and needed to eat something. Eating for two people now she knew she couldn’t afford to miss any meals.
As careful as possible she walked down the stairs holding the railing and her stomach on the way. As she got to the last stair the doorbell rang. Her head snapped up in fear, but then realization kicked in. If it was a killer they wouldn’t ring the doorbell, but who could be at the door this early?
Her feet slid across the floor trying to get her legs to obey her command, but they wouldn’t. She peeked out the door hole to see Sia and another person to tall for her to see the face. She opened cautiously.

Chapter 14A soft chant covered Teya’s ears as she woke, not sure how she fell asleep or when. All she remembered was being in the car with Dean and Sia feeling hurt by her betrayal. Chapter 2Teya woke in a fright. Was everything she witnessed just a bad dream? She couldn’t stop the pounding in her head or the fast rhythm of her heart.
