Hector could see Mary slipping away from his fingertips. He had a feeling their marriage wouldn’t last long. They hadn’t even had a proper conversation in so long, and whenever they did it would end in a fight. He was sure she was cheating by now, but he couldn’t say anything to her because he had been doing the same, for more than a month.

He had gone out with his friends one day and they had taken him to one of the strip clubs. There he met Jasmine, a stripper who was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Mary paled in comparison to her.

Jasmine had done a lap dance for him, and he was mesmerized by every inch, every move of hers. It was like she was a siren, calling out to him, enchanting him to fall in love with her.

“You’re very handsome,” Jasmine had complimented him, and he hadn’t felt so good about himself in so long, “are you married,” she asked him.

“Yes,” he replied in a tiny voice.

“Then what are you doing here?” she asked him, genuinely curious.

“I don’t know,”
