It was a Saturday morning, Amy was having breakfast with her dad. She kept stealing glances at her dad, going over the story she made up in her head, hoping he won’t get suspicious.

‘You can do this, Amy.’ She mentally said to herself, praying she doesn’t blow her cover.

“Um. Dad?” She began, picking up a slice of bacon from her plate with her fork and feeding it to her dad.

“Princess, you’ve barely touched your meal.”

“I’m on a diet.” She lied, when in reality she was a bit hungry. She couldn’t touch her meal because she was nervous. She felt her dad would be able to read through her.

“Since when are you on a diet?” Her dad asked with an amused look on his face.

“Since this morning.”

“Oh really!... And what’s the reason for this sudden decision?”

“I, uh. I noticed I’ve become too lazy to move around and I don’t like it.”

“I have a better option.”

“What’s that?”

“You can make use of the gym… Seriously, Amy. I’m sure you don’t even know what the place looks like.”
