Chapter Forty Seven

A few days later, as I sat down with the old woman I had been living with since that day, my heart warmed at the sight of her wrinkled but caring face.

The old woman began to speak. Her voice was filled with wisdom and love, and it was in that particular moment that I realized that I didn't even know her name. So I made a mental note at the back of my mind to ask her what it was later on.

"Eira, my dear, I want you to know that I care deeply for you and the little life growing inside of you," she began. "And I want you to know that there are a few dos and don'ts that I believe will help to ensure that you have a healthy and joyful pregnancy."

I nodded as my eyes shone with gratitude for the old woman's guidance. "Please, tell me about it," I said with a warm smile.

The old woman leaned in closer, and her voice was gentle yet firm as she said, "First and foremost, you have to take good care of yourself, my dear. Rest when you need to, eat nutritious meals and stay hydrated. Your w
