Chapter Fifty Five

Two Weeks Later

Sighing for the 100th time, Beatrice stopped checking out her upper body in the mirror. She reached for her shirt on the bed and wore it over her head. She picked up her tote bag and exited her home.

It was Friday and her day off. She was meant to do this last week but fear and anxiety wouldn’t let her so she pushed it to this week.

Bea strolled down to the bus station and took a ride. A part of her wished the ride was going to last forever but obviously it didn’t and soon enough, she was back to reality, standing right in front of Debock Enterprises. She reached for her phone in her bag and dialed Rita.

“What’s up, babe?” The familiar sleepy voice came through. Since it was not yet noon, it was reasonable to think that Rita would be sleeping at this hour since she works overnight.

“I think this is a bad idea. Maybe I should just go back home.”

“Wait? You are at the office already?” Rita’s voiced out, the sleepiness slowly leaving her.
