Chapter 15

The car was filled in silence as Karl drove me to work the next morning.

Last night, after sharing dinner with Ethan and Stuart, i had made sure to stay downstairs a little longer to make sure that Karl would be asleep before i join him.

I can never know what could set him off and he is harmless in his sleep so it was the best choice.

I'd sat on the bed for about ten minutes and watched him sleep. With all the glare, scowl, the pushed together eyebrows and the angry curl of his lips, Karl looked like an angel. He seemed as gentle and as soft as a giant Inc-ed teddy bear that i couldn't help but stare.

This morning, instead of just making toast for myself, i made some eggs too, just like i did the day before, but Karl refused to look at it, let alone eat it. Lossing my appetite, I told Ethan and Stuart that they can have their breakfast.

I've learned that those two have a live-in job. Which means they live with us and stay in the guest house. From what I've seen when i first moved in
