Mel waited in the hospital while Simon drove to the nearest fast-food restaurant and bought her a plate of rice. When he returned, the doctor was attending to her, so he sat by her bedside and waited until the doctor was through.

"Okay, how about we share this?" She asked.

"I am not the sick one; you are. So you should eat," he insisted.
