Chapter 34

“Come here,” Blake commanded.

Jessica was surprised, but she stood up. While she was walking to him, he switched off the iPad and tapped on the bed beside him.

“Sit.”

When she sat down beside him, he lay down on her lap and closed his eyes. He said softly, “Give me a massage.”

He was always like this whenever he had a headache. He was like a tiger having a toothache. While he might be fierce, he could barely bite, which made him look pitiful.

Jessica did as she was told and massaged him. His hair was still damp after the shower, so she took her hairdryer out from the drawer and dried it for him.

As her slender fingers were moving swiftly across his black hair, the smell of aftershave and shampoo tickled her nose.

After massaging him for a while, he suddenly grabbed her by the wrist. Jessica looked down at him and he said, “Are you done being mad?”

Jessica looked down at him. Two pairs of black eyes stared at each other while her heart was pounding fiercely.

‘Mad? Don’t
