33: That Woman

CHRISTY:

I stopped midway in cutting the chicken meat and stared at him with disbelief.

Everette never considered thinking it was I who cooked everything. It had to be Secretary Levi.

Might as well slap me.

“Are you seriously telling me that? Levi? Is your secretary the only one you could think of? Is he the only one capable of cooking for you? You're seriously ruining my mood right now, Everette.”

I did not like this day.

First, I found out about that woman on his wallpaper. Next, he had to say Secretary Levi was the one who cooked everything.

Cooking was the only thing that made me forget my annoyance earlier and why did he have to bring my irritation now?

His eyebrows formed a straight line. “Did you order? I told you I don’t eat takeouts. I want them cooked inside the house.”

I glared at him.

I cut my fingers while peeling potatoes. I burned my hands when I accidentally touched the hot surface of the stove. It was not Secretary Levi who experienced those things! It was me!
