ADRIENNE’S POV

The corridor to Nick’s room was exceptionally quiet as my footsteps echoed through the whole hallway. And in a few minutes, I was standing in front of a well-furnished wooden door while hoping Nick wasn’t asleep. I knock twice on the door and on getting no response, took the initiative to let myself in.

I walked into a dimly lit room with only one out of four lights on. I couldn’t remember the last time I was in a guy’s room, but it strangely felt normal. His room was large and his bed was positioned at the center.

I could already see his sleeping figure on the bed but the fact that I could see a headset on his head, gave me the idea that he might not be asleep. Maybe the music was loud enough to block the sound of my knock or even the opening of his door.
