Twenty-one

ADRIENNE’S POV

It was already late when Derek finally brings the motorcycle to a stop. The sun had completely disappeared and the sky was replaced with an almost full moon being surrounded with dark clouds. The night weather was cold and I was happy to have my hoodie around my waist.

We were both standing side by side in the parking lot of an unfamiliar diner. We drove for almost an hour and that made me wonder, since when was the mansion that far from school? But it all made sense now that I was in front of a building whose sign board read ‘Macy’s Diner.’

The first thought that pops into my head was whether he was hungry. But even if that was the case, did he have to drive all the way here?
