Chapter Sixteen - You're a vampire?

I sat beside the bed wiping Freya's sweat-covered brow. It was devastating watching Freya go through this. Born werewolves didn't have to go through a transition, we do however have to go through our first shift when we turn sixteen. That is bad enough, but each shift after that becomes easier and easier, until you don't feel the pain anymore. I couldn't imagine what Freya was going through right now, all I wanted to do was be in the moon realm with her, and let her know that I was there for her every step of the way. 

I felt so guilty; I couldn't believe that I had been so selfish. I wanted us to be together forever, but why couldn't I have just accepted her for who, and what she was? Why did I need to turn her?
