Chapter 5: Daisy's arch-enemy

Edward had returned to the private room.

He looked around the room for his woman but could not find her anywhere, so he went up to Cindy who seemed to be sitting all alone.

Rose having to answer a call had excused herself to a corner in the private room, leaving Cindy all alone at their table. Even though they were both best friends to Daisy Louis, they both weren't best friends but they went along pretty well.

“Hey Cindy,” Edward called her as he got to her.

Cindy turned to him and for a second, she wondered why the Lady wanted her to seduce him. Anyways, she flashed him a smile. “Hey”

“Where is Daisy?” he asked, and Cindy furrowed her brows before saying, “I think she went to the lounge at the left, down the corridor.”

"Oh thank you..." He said and Cindy smiled sweetly at him once more.

She had paid someone to drug him and she wondered if the person had successfully done that.

"I'll have to confirm," she muttered.

Edward stepped out of the room with his brows furrowed and his teeth clenched.

He was having a talk with an American artiste Dave introduced him to in another private room on the next floor. They were planning on a collaboration and in the midst of the talk he suddenly started to feel uncomfortable. He did not understand the reason for the sudden heat spreading through him, and even though the air conditioner was on, he still felt hot all over. And when he started to feel giddy and aroused, he knew he needed to look for his beloved woman.

He didn’t mean to leave his girlfriend all by herself. He was only trying to be more than the man she would ever want. Even he knows Daisy is now the biggest reason why he wants to make it to the top as an artist. That way, Daisy will never ever have to leave him for someone better. He can't bear to part with her now.

He was totally in love.

With his brows furrowed tightly, under the dim lights his handsome face appeared flushed as he tried so hard to control his growing burning desire, which looked like it would soon get under control.

Ha no! He needed to get Daisy.

He blamed the too much wine he had to take today. He had met a lot of people and just had to drink up countless times in respect for them.

Edward took long strides down the corridor and turned left. He stopped in front of the first lounge and knocked gently. Soon, the door opened, and a wild-looking man appeared from behind the door.

Seeing that, Edward’s eyes widened in shock, and he stepped backward.

After a while, he regained his senses. “I guess I got the wrong room. Sorry for disturbing you," he apologised.

The man nodded and was just about to step back in when something flashed in his mind.

“Wait,” Edward gasped, with a flustered expression, and the guy paused. But realizing how far his thoughts had gone, he shook his head.

“Sorry, never mind," he said and stepped back again, and without saying a word, he slammed the door shut.

Edward tapped his head lightly with a huff, silently scolding himself for ever thinking Diasy was in that room.

Ha! The wine was making him unreasonable.

He was just about to check the next lounge when it occurred to him that he could just call her to confirm which lounge she was in.

'Why didn’t I even call her at first?' He could not help but wonder.

He brought out his phone from his jeans pocket and was about to dial her line when he noticed a text message from her about an hour ago. His brows knitted as he read the message.

“I’m so sorry for leaving just like that babe. I got so drunk Rose had to take me home and I only just got a little sober. Baby, pardon me, but I will make it up to you tomorrow. Thanks for today.

I love you.”

Edward stared in disbelief as he read the text, finding it difficult to believe Daisy had sent that.

Daisy would never do this, no matter what. She would have at least called. But then huffed.

‘If she didn’t send this, then who did?’

He dialled her line but it went unanswered. Then realising it's a few minutes to 11 pm already, he sighed.

‘She definitely has gone to bed,’ he thought.

Suddenly, he felt his shaft harden in his pants and his eyes widened. Sweat broke out of his forehead. Panicking, he decided to leave immediately before he did something he would regret for the rest of his life. He would go home and take a cold shower, and that would do.

He brought out his phone to call his cousin, Chris, and inform him about the situation. Even still, he wondered why his body was suddenly reacting that way.

In a dark corner was a dark figure, her gaze fixated on the phone in her hand. Her expression was stone-cold and murderous and at that moment, she just wanted to kill Daisy.

She had sent that text to Edward which he had just read.

She had managed to get Daisy’s phone with her own means as everything happening on that floor could not pass her nose.

She is Daisy’s arch-enemy.

Things had not gone as planned.

Daisy did not end up in the first room by the left with the gigolo. She had instead ended up in the bed of the youngest and richest business tycoon in Australia, getting this cold figure upset. She wondered why he didn’t kick her out when she got the wrong room; instead, they’d been in there for more than an hour. She even had to do a series of questions and personal checking before she finally believed Wesley Maxwell was the one in that room.

Her teeth gritted in anger, and hatred blazed in her eyes.

"Bitch!" she seethed.

The plan is to ruin Daisy’s reputation with that gigolo, but doing that now would be messing with someone they should never even look in the eye.

Her grip on the phone in her hand tightened, nearly crutching it. She breathed out heavily, trying to calm the anger rising in her chest.

So what if it didn’t go as planned? Daisy is still being fucked by a total stranger, isn’t it?

Edward has to know this!

No. He has to see this.

She dipped her hand in her purse and took out her own phone. Then she dialled a number.

“Go down to the front floor desk and get the swipe card of room 49. I already gave the manager some money.” She ended the call after that.

She wanted to see if she could get someone to stealthily enter the lounge to get a picture of Daisy naked in the arms of a stranger and get it sent to Edward.

If it was the gigolo she had personally arranged, then she would have gotten pictures and videos of the incident trend on every social media and entertainment network. It would have been a disaster, cheating with her boyfriend right on the night of her anniversary.
