FARM TOMORROW

On that same day, Lara began the process of seeking help to stop drinking.

Patrícia helped her take a shower, assisted her in getting dressed, and put her in the car to go to the psychologist's friend, a psychiatrist who worked at a clinic for addicts.

Lara remained silent in the car for the forty minutes it took to reach the clinic. She didn't want to tell Patrícia that she was dying to drink again, that the dose she had taken didn't sustain her and she needed more.

Dr. Roger personally attended to them and was in the clinic's veranda courtyard, located in a rural area, forty-five minutes away from the city centre.

"Will he be able to help me?" the girl asked softly when she saw the guy stand up and walk towards the car, smiling. "He looks like he's in preschool!"

"Don't underestimate him, my dear, he's an excellent doctor."

"I pictured him being over fifty years old."
