As the pain tore through him Nico clutched at his chest feeling like his heart was being ripped out of his chest. The pain was unbearable and excruciating. He felt like he was going to die right there and then. “Aaaaah!!” he cried out painfully clutching his chest. As the pain intensified, he shifted into his wolf form then he looked up in the sky and howled, other werewolves close by heard the painful howl and joined in.
He was close to the border of Rosewood when this happened and the werewolves that heard him were the warriors on patrol. After the howl, they went looking for him and found him in his wolf form curled up on the ground looking helpless. They surrounded him as the other warrior mind linked Marco to come quickly. As the other beta, Marco could sense the urgency in the warrior’s voice and came running to see what was happening.
When he got there, he saw Nico curled up on the ground looking like an injured dog. ‘What happened,
“Luka, stop playing with sand, you know mama wont like it when you get into the house full of sand.” Nova said to her brother, but Luka stood up and continued to throw sand around giggling. “Luka no!” Nova stood up attempting to stop him, but Luka ran to the packhouse with Nova right behind him. He was giggling as he ran and almost falling. He got in and ran to the kitchen where their mother was. “No running!” Anita reprimanded and Luka stopped then turned to look at his sister. “Mama!” called Nova coming into the kitchen. “Yes, princess?” answered Anita busy making cookie dough. “Look at your son, he was at it again just now.” Anita stiffened her laugh then looked at Luka, little Luka had sand all over his face and even on his hair.“You were playing with sand again Luka.” Said Anita looking at him.“No” said Luka shaking his head. “He was mama, look at him.&rd
“Now listen closely, you are going to leave this place together with your crazy mother and never return here.” I looked at my new alpha, well he will not be my alpha for long since he is kicking us out. But what hurts me about his words is the fact that not so long ago this person looked at me with nothing but love in his eyes. But today those very same eyes look at me with disgust like looking at garbage. Another thing that makes this hurt, is that this person is my uncle. My father’s brother, the man who use to be the beta of the pack while my father was the alpha. Yep, life will show you flames and will use the very same people you thought you can lean on. “Remember, I own this town, eve
“Please sweetheart, just five more minutes.” He whined pulling her close and buring his head on her back. “No, you are going to be late for the alpha’s meeting.” She reminded him making him groan in frustration. “Go now or your beta will be knocking on this door and you know how much I hate it when he does that.” He laughed getting up from bed going to the shower. She finished making the bed then went to join him in the shower before going out meeting Beta Larry on the stairs.“I was coming to get you.” Laura rolled her eyes at Larry. “See, I told you that he was going to come.” He laughed. “Were you guys talking about me?” asked Larry l
Laura was restless, she couldn’t sit still so was Christine, her wolf. She didn’t know what was wrong and kept asking her wolf what was going on but she was not saying anything. Anita walked in, coming from training, and saw her mother pacing in front of the kitchen counter. “Mom” she called out to her but Laura did not hear her. “Mom!” Laura jumped and turned around with her hand on her chest. “Damn it, Anita! Don’t sneak up on people like that.”Anita looked at her mother and saw that she looked troubled. “Mom, what’s wrong?” Laura sighed shaking her head. “I don’t know Nita; I just feel restless all of a sudden and Christine is the same too but won’t tell me what the problem is.” A
A week has passed and now Rosewood pack had a new alpha, Larry. Laura last spoke that day when she found out that her mate had died, she has been mute and walking around looking like a zombie. Her state was worsening, its like she went back to being a child again and Anita must be the one to think for her. Like when she is hungry, she does not say, Anita must come back from training and make her food then feed her. When its time for her to bath, Anita must run a bath for her and help her get cleaned. She had to be strong for her mother seeing that she was not coping, she had to put aside her own grief and take care of her. What she hated the most was the fact that no one was helping her, her uncle is busy trying t
A week passed fast with Larry busy with pack business not noticing what was happening in the packhouse, Anita was happy that the week was ending because that meant that her mother will get to see someone and get the help that she needs. Laura didn’t say a word the whole week, the only time she would speak is when Anita reads to her and she would say something like “Xavier, what happened to your voice?” or like “Xavier why don’t you sleep in our bed anymore, did I do something wrong?” All those things hurt Anita because her father was not there, when she tried to talk to her, she would not say a word, that hurt Anita making her feel like she was doing something wrong. It was dinner time and Rosewood pack members who lived in the packhouse gath
When Anita got to her room, she helped her mother with her bath then tucked her into bed. She sat on the bed thinking about the events of the day, she sighed helplessly then got up from the bed and started packing. She wondered what they would need out there, he thought of it as camping then started packing all the comfortable clothes they had and sleeping bags. She left all the beautiful high hills they owned because they would have no need for them in the jungle. She then packed toiletries for both of them but she knew that it was useless as they will run out eventually, she shook her head getting rid of that negative thought, she had hope that someone out there was going to help them sooner or later. When she finished packing it was already around midnight, she went and took
Morning came and Anita woke up early then got out of the cave. She took the time to look around and saw that the place is not that bad. It was late when they got here and she was tired. She never got the chance to look around and see what kind of place it was. This was their new home after all and she needed to know everything there is to know about it. She cleaned a bit after taking a tour of the place, she then got back to the cave where her mother was and found her still sleeping. ‘Well, Linsey, take us to where we can find food, my mother will wake up soon.’ She told her wolf and she shifted to her wolf form. ‘What would you like to eat, Rabbit?’ she asked ‘No, we can get that for lunch on our way back, let’s find something light.’
