I had deliberately chosen not to follow his updates for a considerable period, and now, hearing about him once more seemed like a distant memory.

"Is that so? Well, that's good," I replied sincerely. "Even though there's no possibility between us, I still wish him all the best."

"You’re hopeless if you keep acting like that."

"I'm doing well, and I'm happy," I reassured her. "If you were to consider turning over a new leaf, why don't you join me? I have a fan base now, and I can help redirect some traffic to you..."

"I’ll call you when I need your help. I contacted you just to inform you about him, so you can rest assured and stop worrying about him in the future."

I honestly thought there was no need for this call.

I probably couldn't go through life without thinking of Sean.

However, I had also prepared myself to never meet him or see any of his messages again.

I thought my friends shouldn’t have underestimated me because I might not be the brightest, but I was clever in my own way.
