Chapter 41 Keep Things The Way They Are

Marcus laughed strangely, and both Jessica and Henry perked their ears to listen to his opinion. Hearing this eerie laughter, they both lost their smiles at the same time.

Jessica gritted her teeth and said, "Mr. Marcus, there haven't been any changes, you just have an additional son. You can see him anytime you want, and if you want to take him to live with you for a few days, I have no objections." This was her greatest concession. So, Mr. Marcus, please don't laugh so pitifully as if you've been abandoned.

Marcus remained silent. Jessica and Henry looked at each other, both devoid of smiles. Though Henry was smart, he didn't know what to do in this situation. After all, it was not something that human effort could solve. He really wanted to say, "Why don't you two get married?" But he knew that his mommy would be the first to say no.

Getting married for the sake of the child was not something that either his father or mother could do. Unless they were in love with each other.
