"You said her boyfriend broke your ribs, but you didn't have any broken ribs when you returned to Flemond. How do you explain that?" Samuel asked.
Warren didn't know what kind of explanation he could come up with. After all, saying that he was healed by a beggar who touched him, would sound preposterous, even for him.
"It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that she believed I stole someone's necklace, when both her and you are supposed to know that I will never resort to stealing. You know how poor I am, but I would never disgrace myself or my parents like that!" Warren said.
Then it clicked to Samuel. He knew Warren was no thief. He would rather sleep on an empty stomach than steal some of Samuel's food. Not once in the years that they shared the same kitchen and living room, has Samuel ever lost something. If Warren was hungry, he would often ask Samuel first, but he never stole.
