Maya was furious at Riella for sidelining her that easily when all she had ever done was to look out for her.

Was this her way of telling her that she didn't need to be looked after because she was suffocated by her? Or why would Riella want to actively keep her from this?

Normally Riella loved dragging Maya into whatever she was doing and yet this one, this one time when it's really important and she might be in danger, Riella ditches her for Shannon.

All sleep fled from her eyes as she didn't know how to spend her lunch break again. Whipping out her phone, she scrolled through her contacts wondering who to call when her eyes landed on Koel's number and she dialed it.

This was someone who knew what she was going through and could help if it came to that.

He also knew everything so she was relaxed talking to him because she knew that he would never hurt her for being vulnerable with him.

He was the only brother that she liked for real and could enjoy being in his company for a long.
