Chapter 56.

Gaia POV.

Waking pressed against a hard chest as a chest is firmly against my back, legs, and arms entwined over me. I smile to myself at how contented I feel. But that is shattered when my stomach rolls.

Shoving the arms and legs away, I quickly scramble off the bed, with a hand over my mouth and the other on my stomach, as I dash to the bathroom and throw up as I reach the toilet. Damn morning sickness. Hands move my hair from my face as another hand rubs my back as I heave up nothing but bile with tears streaming down my face.

After dry heaving, the sweat lines my forehead and drips down my back as I slump to the floor beside the toilet panting. Leo hands me a wet washcloth, and I wipe my face as he hands me a glass of water.

“Thank you.” My throat is sore as scratchy as I take sips of the water.

“Let me help you up. You need to rest.” I hold up a finger, telling him to stop, and he does. I move to my knees and pull myself up as I flush the toilet and move to the sink. Grabbing my
