My hands trailed up to Jenna’s head and I stroked her hair. “I like the new haircut,”

She wrinkled her nose and pushed me a little backward, “Don’t touch my hair, Conrad or I’m gonna bite you.” she said in a feisty way and tucked her hair behind her ear.

I smiled at how cute she looked when she said it and how her curls fell in messy waves on her face. I loved the curls, it made her eyes pop.

“You’re gonna bite me, huh?” I teased and even though her face was all red with anger, she still looked pretty.

“Let go of me, Conrad,” she said, stepped away from the wall and made for the door.

“Toralei told me you’re going to prom with a guy she has a crush on,”
