Missing you

“Sir,” my secretary entered, confused.

“Are you deaf?” I growled at her.

“No sir,” she responded and walked away from the door without saying anything anymore.

“Isn’t that too harsh?” Nate entered and I flashed him a glare.

“She is trying to make up for whatever fight you both had,” he continued none the less. I relaxed into my chair and ran my hand through my hair as I pondered on the annoying words he said. Truly, she might be trying her best to make up for the things she had done earlier but words when spoken could never be taken back.

“She doesn’t trust me,” I said to him and shut my eyes tightly as those words rang in my ears and her reaction to me replayed in my mind. I still wondered why it was hurting that way, I really did. But I had no reply for it myself, neither did I have an answer as to why I would feel hurt when I shouldn’t. I opened my eyes again, pushing away the angry feeling inside of me.
