Chapter 83 Cornered

“I didn’t know you have superpowers, babe,” Marlyn chuckled as he ran to catch on with Lexy walking away.

“What a surprise!” Lexy sneered. “I was hoping you could tell me,” she glared at a laughing Marlyn.

“Who was there?” he asked, still smiling.

Marlyn wasn’t really bothered if his joke would turn real or not. He was amazed to hear she could recognize people from that far. But what Lexy said made him forget about his question.

“Have you heard about crazy things like people with unbelievable abilities?” She asked with an earnest tone. But Lexy did not stop or walk slowly in her tracks.

“You mean…” Marlyn raised his eyebrows and whispered. “Like… superpowers?”

Lexy chuckled, but she also stopped abruptly.

“Like anything the Marvels studio creates,” she frowned as her words registered her understanding, feeling sillier as she spoke. “Anything, vampires maybe, or werewolves, like that…?”

Lexy did not want to meet gazes with Marlyn as she asked. She was worried her face would tell
