I sat on my bed, my mind everywhere but in my room. I didn't understand why Kimberly was so hell bent on getting to know her uncle. I thought I'd have been able to kill her interest by telling her the story of who he really was but all that did was make her want to find him even more and now that she had, she was going over to his place for dinner.

This had to be my biggest nightmare come true and it upset me greatly.

There wasn't much I could say to stop her, she was hellbent on being close to him. I wanted to protect her from the heart aches she was bound to experience that came with associating with her uncle but I knew that there was nothing that I could do to stop her. Her mind was practically already made up. I'd just have to wait for her to meet the consequences of her actions.
