Chapter 42 Disgust

“What the hell are you doing?” I roared at her.

Shock and horror washed over me as I witnessed Emma's wicked grin and the destructive spectacle that followed. My heart pounded in my chest as she overturned the potted plant, smashing it over her head with a sickening thud. Blood trickled down her face, her white blouse now stained crimson.

"Emma, stop!" I cried out, my voice filled with desperation and disbelief.

But she ignored my plea, continuing her performance with a chilling intensity. I couldn’t believe this. Not that Emma was some saint, but what I couldn’t believe was how I could be so dumb. I let that happen to myself. Lana warned me but I was so sure that she couldn’t hurt me that I forgot that there were various ways to hurt a person, hurt wasn’t limited to the physical body.

“I am warning you. Stop this or you will regret it.” I roared.

“Oh, sure I will.” she winked at me, and dread settled in my stomach.
