“He certainly asked for a trade?” I tried to confirm as I faced all of the gods. I clenched my fist whilst I tried to make a decision.

“Indeed…” Arwald uttered, “Five demi-gods—Tiva, Ameyalli, Kabecka, Brynhild, Inghard, and Trygve—were in his hands.”

“Apophis wants the key in exchange to them,” I stated.

“What if we deceive him?” Naeitha asked, “We should think of a plan where we can retrieve the five demi-gods without granting him the key to the Void.”

“It would not work,” Caliban countered.

“Why?” I asked.

“If ever you grant him an inaccurate key and he headed straight to the underworld, Lothaire’s realm will be in danger,” Lorcan replied and I clenched my jaw in his statement.

“Neither will I risk my queen nor put my denizens in peril,” I said as I agreed with Lorcan.

“He desires for it within seven eventides,” Arwald stated, “Otherwise he will slaughter
