Alodia didn’t know how she got home because of the memories and different thoughts that bothered her. She felt like a zombie walking after she off the bus. It was even a miracle for her to arrive home still in one piece. She was so damn tired! And she fell into the couch like a defeated soldier.
She stirred from her disturbed nap because of the doorbell. It was like there was an emergency. She didn’t know she’d fallen asleep when her body hit the couch. When she glanced at her wrist watch, it was already past six in the evening.
“Shit! Nicu!” She ran toward the door to open it.
Then, she stepped back when she saw Harman with Nicu. The kid came in and looked at her desperately for a second or two.
“You’re such a loser, Alodia!” he said gaily. “You forgot to pick me up at school!” he complained in his usual gay tone. There was no grudge in this boy, which amazed her.
However, she frowned at
The other woman smiled at her. She could see that there was a change in her. She could feel that this woman’s smile was genuine this time.Maybe it is because of Harman. She has him already in her life, she thought dejectedly.“You still have a grudge on me, huh?” Laili stated and stepped closer to Alodia. She looked fashionable in her cream-colored long winter coat.“And why not? You’re the reason that…” and she halted. It was all in the past. “Why are you here, by the way? If… you’re looking for your husband, he’s not living in that house but that one across the street. This one right here is my friend’s.” She pointed the houses respectively while she spoke, trying to not blow up in Laili’s face. Why did I even think of talking to her when she called me anyway? Now, she regretted it.The other woman chuckled. “My husband you’re sayi
Harman, in turn, gently caressed her back. “All is forgiven now,” he said quietly in her ear. “And just for the record, I never had a grudge on you for leaving me that day. But I just thought I’d died. My life was so meaningless without you, Alodia. I was working so hard just to find you. I just loved you everyday more and more, iubirea mea. Just that you were not there by my side. That was what hurt me so much! And that I couldn’t hug you, kiss you and make love to you…” He kissed her neck then; his lips felt the fast-beating pulse there.“B-but… if I confess something to you… would you forgive me?” She wriggled free from his embrace and looked him in the eye. Her eyes were filled with tears.“Alodia, I love you so much! I don’t even know why I love you so much. Why won’t I forgive you? And I’ve even already accepted that my family won’t ever forgive me again, e
Harman kneeled in front of Alodia when she sat on the edge of the bed in Harman’s room. An open small box with a twinkling diamond ring met her eyes when she looked at it. She thought he must have prepared it long ago, knowing that he truly loved her since the day he set his eyes on her on their way to Romania.“Can I officially hold on to you forever, iubirea mea?” His eyes searched hers as he asked that question.“Can you tell me first why you gave me the papucul doamnei?” she asked him, looking intently at his waiting handsome face.“To let you know that you are rare and difficult to find,” he answered with amusement. She laughed at that and wound her arms around his neck, looking into his eyes. “I should say you’re very rare too, Harman. I wouldn’t find any man who’s like you. Never in the whole world!”“I know,” he agreed, proud of himself, ma
Alodia blew her breath before she pressed the doorbell button of his condo unit at around eight in the evening.“A-Alyanna?” Emerson’s face was surprised to see her there when he opened the blue-gray door. He wore a white sando and a pair of board shorts, revealing his well-built body. He was taller than she realized, when she was now close to him. Her height was just up to his shoulder. Why did he call her by that name with those luscious red lips? Didn’t he recognize her? Didn’t he know that Alyanna had a twin sister and that his girlfriend just died?Their eyes held for a few seconds. His eyes were light brown and beautiful, which was enhanced by a nearly perfect eyebrows, which was a bit thick though. His nose was straight that she thought he must have good genes.Suddenly, an idea came up in her mind. She slowly pulled her lips into a sweet and sunny smile. So, there was a way that she could avenge her sister’s dea
Alodia closed the black gate of the big white house. She paused to look around her. It was a sunny winter day. She knew it would be muddy later on because of the melting snow under the sun. She looked around her. There were only a few people around who were bustling with their daily activities—either going to work, school or somewhere else. Her eyes rounded when she saw a man shoveling the snow from the path of his garage all the way toward the gate so that his car wouldn’t get stuck. Perhaps, the street snow cleaners were already done earlier that day and he had to shovel the rest of the massive snow drifts. His back was right to her and she couldn’t see his face. And yet, her heart was drumming so hard. She was about to go deaf because of the loud pumping of it.Then, a handsome face of a man came into her mind. Yes, she recognized this man although he had his back to her. He was tanned as ever. He was apparently well built far more better than befo
Alodia said goodbye to Nicu when she already made sure that he was in his classroom. She went to the mall to buy the necessary ingredients that she was going to use for baking and cooking to prepare for her employer’s birthday. She was totally going to prepare a surprise for Nicoleta’s birthday. She was sure that the latter would be happy about it.While looking for the ingredients in mind, she didn’t notice the man who was pushing his cart that was filled with groceries. She bumped into it and some canned goods hit her shoulder, making her groan in pain while massaging that assaulted part.“Pardon!” She heard the man’s voice who spoke in Romanian. He continued to profusely ask for her forgiveness. Her mouth suddenly hung open. That familiar voice!Harman! her mind shouted, making her heart thump so loud against her rib cage. Shit! Why is he here in all places? She tried hard not to look over
Alodia’s sister was buried in her grave without the priest’s blessing. It was the church’s rule that whoever died in suicide weren’t given the privilege to have a church mass and a grave blessing before the dead body was buried. That made her loss even worse. But what could she do? No one would bless her sister and guide her to the Purgatory for what she had done—killing herself. But she didn’t want to imagine that Alyanna was now straight in hell. She couldn’t take it!Alodia was filled with hate for Emerson. She thought hard what she could do while she waited for her new two-year contract in Romania. She had at least two months of vacation in the Philippines. And not long afterward while grieving, she found this time to be of use to her as she thought about her sister’s death. She had to make it worthwhile even if it was the last thing she’d ever do.She went to Greenhills, where there was a rich condo area that w
The twenty-two-year-old Alodia searched for something to tie Emerson up with. And she found a duct tape in one of his dresser drawers. How it got there, she had no idea. She just took off his clothes and tied his hands and ankles apart to the headboard and the foot of the bed.She surveyed her accomplishment. He was splayed naked in front of her, in full view! His eyes were still closed and his grin was just wasn’t wiped off from his fuckboy face. She looked at him with hatred and she wanted to puke because of his nakedness. His huge manhood stood so erect, and she never saw something so horrendous as he in her life that she grimaced. In reality, she’d never seen a naked man in her life. She never thought it could be so ugly like this! He was unshaved down there. She wondered how her sister could take it, and how could she have sex with this man with an ugly member! She never understood why her sister killed herself because of this hateful and unwort
