EMMA'S FINAL THANK YOU NOTE
Hey, Y'all!!!!
Another romantic adventure came to an end. It has been such an interesting ride. It has been funny, sad, frustrating, tearful, annoying (Yes, I've said it!), but all in all, it has been the most fulfilling writing experience I've had in the last eight months. The plot came out of nowhere, pushing me to give birth to this love story. In no time, Rhiannon and Paxton took over me, and... the rest, as they say, is history.
I saw all your comments, and I've seen how much some of you enjoyed the story. Nonetheless, a few of you had some slight issues with some parts of it. In my defense, all I can say is... I've tried my best to please everybody, and I'm sorry I let down some of you. But think of it this way... This story is a figment of my imagination. These are my thoughts, my ideas, and, unfortunately, they might not match yours all the time. Please, don't hold it against me. I'll do better next time.
Speaking of... next time, I'm planning to start a new story in a couple of weeks. I'll rest for a couple of days, then I'll start doing my research, I'll try some ideas... But if you have proposals (not werewolves, dark romance, or mafia - not my cup of tea), I'm all ears.

EIGHT WEEKS EARLIER Strangely, the main door wasn’t closed, so Paxton entered the restaurant’s dining room. There wasn’t a single soul inside, and the lights were off, but he could see a ray of light coming from a backroom. Maybe it was the kitchen. He came closer to the door and the voice of a woman made him stop in his tracks.“‘Yes, Kieran, I understand you had other things to take care of, don’t worry. Still, I really hoped you could be here,’” she said and started laughing slowly. “‘Funny, but no! I didn’t bite her head off… The meeting with the interior designer went perfectly. Her ideas were great. She will start the work as soon as possible.’” The woman was talking on the phone with his brother. Paxton came even closer and kept listening from behind the ajar door.“‘This place is changing fast and it’s all because of you. Just promise me you’ll come here soon. I want to show you the last changes I made. Okay, Kieran, absolutely. I’ll see you soon.

A glance around the posh “Eleven Madison Park” dining room confirmed that she was tragically undressed. After a closer glance at the food as the maître d’ led them to their table, Rhiannon didn’t care. She couldn’t wait to get a look at the menu, maybe steal an idea or two. It was one of the most exclusive restaurants in New York, a place where the waiting list was as long as her arm… longer even. But dining in such a fancy place wasn’t the highlight of her evening. Not even close. The most important part was her being there with Paxton Ridgway, Kieran’s half-brother, the man she dreamed of since she first saw him. Exactly two hours and a wonderful, delicious dinner later, her eyes flew wide as she caught sight of the digits on the bill that had just been delivered across the table. Rhiannon barely managed to swallow the “Holy shit” that was on the tip of her tongue. She really couldn’t let him… Paxton frowned as she reached for her purse.“Are you kidding me?” He tucked his credit card into the check cover.“Don’t even think about it. Paxton awakened with a violent start in the middle of the night. His first thought was for the safety of the gorgeous woman curled trustingly against him. Ironically, he’d enjoyed his evening with Rhiannon more than he’d enjoyed being with anyone in a very long time. Maybe that was why his gut twisted as he experienced an unusual pang of conscience. After all, he’d seduced her for very deliberate, self-serving reasons. Careful not to disturb her, Paxton sat up and ran a hand through his dark hair.
