CHAPTER 83_She Despises Me.

Yulia peered up at the woman, who was holding a bucket. It was she who drenched Yulia; she didn't care about it, though. She had found her mother and was glad her mother was alright.

However, she couldn't tell why her mother had a different color of eyes. She remembered that both of them were green.

“What did she say?” The man, whom Yulia assumed to be Jake, was questioned.

“She said she wants to go back home.” The woman said this as she squatted.

Yulia rose herself off the ground; her mother didn't seem to recognize her. She turned her head to look at Jake; he was older than his picture.

She sat still while her mother scrutinized her, tears welling up in her eyes. The woman that she thought was dead was alive all along.

Yulia's eyes pierced her mother's, and she wondered if her mother recognized her.

“She is a unique one.” The woman muttered as she rose to her feet. “Let's keep her.”

Yulia's gaze followed her mother as she walked towards where Jake was and took her seat next to him.
