Jason

I sat beside Amber all night after that and I must say, I've never been so scared in my entire life. Her temperature would rise and fall and then she'd break out in a cold sweat. She also did wake up a couple of times then lost consciousness before I could get to her. She did call my name most of those times, just 'Jason' without the title but it only made me feel more restless.

I dozed off just before morning, resting my head in my folded arms on my lap. It wasn't the most comfortable position but her comfort was more of a priority to me at the moment. I must have forgotten to close the window because once the sun completely arose, its light immediately filled the entire room making it a pain to even keep my eyes closed and pretend it wasn't there. But that wasn't even what got me to finally open my eyes.
