CHAPTER 50: FIRST ENVOY

Myron gently opened the door to VIP room 106 and walked in calmly, feeling a little ashamed and a little curious to see his father who he had not set his eyes on in five years. The trauma of that night had been greatly stimulating for him and he could not forget it no matter how he tried.

The moment he entered the room he saw her turn around and stare at him with an expressionless face which soon broke into a smile, the book in her hand falling onto her lap. He glanced at her before his attention was drawn to the man lying on the bed looking lifeless even though the heart monitor beside him said otherwise.

He stared at him for the first time in five years, his hair had turned grey and his face…, he couldn’t even distinguish the difference in his facial features as a large part of it was hidden under the oxygen mask the man was wearing with his eyes seeming as if they were glued shut. He had also been wearing a similar mask when he last saw him five years ago. Myron thought.
