Chapter 36

Isabella just finished having lunch with Kim. She decided to go to David's house from there.

She arrived at his house and rang the door's bell.

"Who's there?" Yvonne's voice said from inside.

"It's me, Isabella," she said, making Yvonne frown.

"What are you doing here?" Yvonne asked as she opened the door.

"Hello," Isabella said with a smile.

"You haven't answered my question," Yvonne said.

"Well, David invited me over," Isabella said cheerfully. "Please step aside."

Yvonne frowned. Why did David invite her over? "David is not around. He is in his workplace painting. I can't let you come in. Sorry."

David could hear voices from his room. He left his room and walked to the sitting room. He saw Yvonne standing at the door. It was obvious she was talking to someone. "Yvonne," he called out.

Yvonne became tense. She turned to look at him slowly.

"Who's there?" David asked.

Isabella walked in. "It's me, David." She turned to look at Yvonne. "I thought you said he wasn't around."
