CHAPTER 26- BE MY GIRLFRIEND

It has been over two weeks since Zack said those words to Rachael. No doubt Rachael decided to feel unaffected as she responded bluntly with a 'thank you before getting out of Zack's car.

A little hint of disappointment could be seen on Zack's face as he tried to cover it up with a devious smile. 'He shouldn't be affected since he is playing a game. A game whereby he is the controller and going to be a winner,' he told himself.

After that scenario, Rachael and Joy's friendship was still at arm's length. In short, none of the four in the group walk or talk together like before. This, mostly due to school stress and the awkwardness they had to deal with since Joy is mostly with Zack. Zack and Rachael's tutoring continues, as Rachael tries to keep it as strict as ever. She still tries as much as ever to remain unaffected by Joy and Zack's closeness.
