CHAPTER 40- RESCUED
Fear, panic, and anxiety were boldly written on their faces.
"Gloria, Gloria," Joy shouted at the phone.
They have heard Gloria mumbling and yawning.
The cop was the first to make a move as she ran inside. Kevin and Andrew followed. Rachael felt stupefied as she was stuck in one position. She felt as if air passed through her.
She knew Gloria was in trouble, but why was she hesitating and not helping.
"Rachael, Rachael," Joy's voice finally startled her as she realized she has not moved from the position she was in.
"We should, should. uh," Rachael's voice trailed off.
She was panicking obviously. Her heart was beating fast making her unable to move her legs She knew Gloria was in trouble but she was hesitating, why?
"Rachael!"
She finally broke out of her trance as she saw Joy looking slightly agita
