THALIA

“WHAT?”

I flinch in fear as Mr. Kane's voice echoes in the whole dining room. His eyes were raging as he pushed his hair from his forehead, looking so frustrated while on the phone.

We were having breakfast together in his own house. Despite the second time being here, I felt that I was already welcome at his place.

Was this a bad thing?

I sat properly when Mr. Kane's eyes darted on mine. “Finished your breakfast.” He said before leaving the dining area.

I stared at his back, slowly getting out of my view. He did not even finish his meal. Why is he mad while on the phone? Did something bad happen?

Damn, why am I even curious about his life? But what if it's about his company?

With a sigh, I finished my meal with a lot of thoughts rummaging in my head.
