I swallowed the lump in my throat as I stride to where Mom is while glancing at the CCTV. She immediately wrapped her arms around me as if she hadn't seen me for years.

It was warm and cozy.

I badly miss her presence.

Fortunately, I did not return to Damon's residence.

Mom placed the paper bag she was carrying on the table while her eyes wandered the whole place. This is her second time coming here after months of not seeing each other.
