Chapter Thirty Five

Three days later

The first person Saira saw when she opened her eyes was Daniel which surprised her because he'd been arrested and was in police custody with his father so how he was here, staring at her with a smile on his face was beyond her.

"Hey." He greeted.

"Am I... dreaming?" She croaked out.

"Nope. You're wide awake... finally." His smile widened.

Saira looked around the room and realized she was in a hospital room and wondered for how long she'd been asleep.

"What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in jail." She frowned.

"Ethan dropped the charges against me. Why he did that is beyond me." He shrugged. "But I'm happy to be out because I've missed you, Saira."

"Where's Ethan?" She inquired.

"He was in his room the last time I checked." Daniel replied. "I'll get the doctor." He stood up and left.
