Chapter 19- fire outbreak

As soon as he clicked on the button there was a loud bang and his car burst into flames, sending them flying backwards. He immediately covered her body with his by getting on top of her, shielding her face and head with his hands. People could be heard screaming and running around as they tried to escape the flames and flying debris. Only when things settled down did he get off her, pulling her up and wrapping his arms around her.

“Drake, what’s happening?” she asked in a terrified voice as she clung to him. She could feel and smell the flames, making her worse fears once again come to light.

His hands frantically touched her face and arms as he checked her out to make sure she hadn’t been harmed. He cupped her face in his hands, it broke his heart to see how scared she was. “My car exploded.”

“How?” she asked, her hands going over the top of his.
