CHAPTER SEVENTY FIVE

My eyes flutter up, straining at the door, when I notice a shadow lurking outside of it. I got up with a start, wondering if someone had broken in. My parents aren’t at home, and my brother was over at his girlfriend’s place, leaving me alone.

Well, not technically alone, since the house was crowded with securities, which was all the more reason to be frightened. How had this person passed through the securities and gotten right at my door?

Looking around, I picked up the lamp from beside the bed, slowly making my way to my door, but before I got there, the door knob twisted, and the door opened. I saw a figure walking in and was about to let out a scream when I was able to make out who it was standing in front of me.

Giovanni.

What is he doing here?

How did he get in?

“I’m guessing that is for me.” A deep voice asks as the door clicks shut.
